DIRECTIONS
John Neely joined Hawthorne Media in 1995. He brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, marketing, and product development for the banking and financial services industries.
As a Senior Product Manager, John led product development, strategic planning, and marketing for several product lines of BayBank, Inc. for seven years. Previously, he served as a consultant for 10 years with Peter Merrill Associates and its acquirer, Golembe Associates, providing strategic planning and market analysis to a broad range of banking and financial services clients. Still earlier, he held management positions within regulatory agencies associated with the banking, utility, and insurance industries.
John leads Hawthorne's investor relations practice, and participates in public relations, marketing, and strategic market analysis projects for many Hawthorne clients.
John
has spoken widely at industry meetings and authored articles
and a book on technical and marketing topics. He has been admitted
to the practice of law in Massachusetts and Colorado. He received
a J.D. from Harvard University and an A.B. from Princeton University
and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He served as a combat infantryman
in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division.

VICE PRESIDENT NEW MEDIA
John
Neely Jr. brings a decade of media production and consulting experience
to Hawthorne where he now serves as Vice President for New Media. Prior
to joining Hawthorne, John was based in Cape Town, South Africa
where he co-produced a feature length documentary, and lectured
at the University of Cape Town and the University of the Western
Cape.
John has contributed to numerous independent and corporate productions in various capacities including producer, editor (of the award-winning feature Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley), and sound recordist. John's own short films have screened internationally at festivals and on cable television in the US.
In addition to his work in film, John has been
an art director, consultant, designer and illustrator for interactive
media companies including Pulse Entertainment, Salon.com, ThirdAge
Media, and The Reuters Foundation. John received an MA in Communication
from Stanford University and a BA magna cum laude
in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University.
Christine B. Sullivan
FOUNDER AND SENIOR STRATEGIST
Christine
Sullivan is the Founder of Hawthorne Media. Currently she is the
Executive Director of the Enterprise Center
at Salem State College,
a large small business incubator and growth center. She
remains committed to Hawthorne as a mentor, advisor, and senior
strategist.
As Massachusetts Secretary of Consumer Affairs, she was responsible
for consumer advocacy and the oversight of regulatory agencies
including banking, insurance, and utilities, as well as the state's
energy policy. She has also done extensive work in economic development
and tourism, and was Chief of Staff in a Congressional office in
Washington, DC.
A professional speaker, Christine has been a seminar developer,
leader, and course instructor in strategic marketing planning,
mass communications, and entrepreneurship.
She was responsible for the Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism,
Radio-Television, and Photography programs as Chairperson of the
Communications Department at Endicott College (1984-1986) in Beverly,
MA. She also owned and published a tourist magazine in Salem, MA.
After receiving a B.A. from Vassar College, Christine went on
to earn a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Kennedy
School of Government at Harvard.
Thibault Worth
VIDEO AND PODCAST PRODUCER
Thibault Worth is an Emmy-Award winning producer with seven years of experience creating content for internet, television and radio programs. Prior to his podcasting work, Thibault worked as a news reporter for Pacifica Radio and the the VOA's (Voice of America) Hong Kong bureau. He has also segment produced for John Ratzenbeger's Made in America on the Travel Channel.
Thibault holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Southern California, and a BA in Biology from Brown University. Thibault's recent work includes a series of podcasts for the California Institute of Technology's Office of Admissions.
