St. Louis, MO -- Maritz
Learning, a leading provider of learning solutions for sales and
service organizations, today announced that its LIBRIX® Performance
Management System has been certified by the Aviation Industry CBT
Committee (AICC) as compliant with AICC's Web-Based Computer Managed
Instruction Systems (CMI) Guideline (AGR-010). Organizations worldwide
use Maritz' LIBRIX technology to manage every aspect of their learning
and performance improvement initiatives.
The certification reflects Maritz' commitment to ensuring that LIBRIX
supports and delivers courseware, regardless of vendor or authoring
system, developed to AICC standards. The AICC AGR-010 guideline, developed
to address interoperability between web-based courseware and web-based
learning management systems (LMS), has become a de facto standard
in the e-learning industry.
LIBRIX is a key component of the products and services Maritz Learning
offers to help sales and service organizations achieve peak performance.
These include customizable learning programs such as Sales Force Readiness,
Customer Service Improvement and New Product Launch; as well as custom
courseware development to enhance product knowledge or train employees
on new skills, processes or applications.
"We're pleased that AICC has certified LIBRIX," commented
Brian Carlin, President of Maritz Learning. "Although LIBRIX
has always been designed to conform to AICC standards, this certification
provides our customers an objective assessment of its capability to
support a wide range of e-learning content, which is essential to
maximizing the return on an LMS investment."
"With this certification, Maritz Learning demonstrates its dedication
to AICC guidelines established to help organizations achieve economical
and effective implementation of e-learning," said William A.
McDonald, AICC CMI Subcommittee chair and Learning Technology Architect
at Alteon (Boeing's aviation training company).
The LIBRIX Performance Management System is a web-based learning
management system available as turnkey hosted service or that can
be installed on an organization's intranet. The system consists of
three major components that can be rapidly deployed to manage learning
and performance initiatives while reducing overall training costs.
LIBRIX® E-Learning Manager provides comprehensive e-learning delivery,
tracking and reporting capabilities. LIBRIX® Registration Manager
simplifies administration and scheduling of classroom courses, events
and facilities. LIBRIX® Competency Manager helps organizations
recognize human potential and optimize learning and performance initiatives
through competency modeling, gap analysis and skills assessment and
development of career paths for their employees.
