Fenton, MO -- Maritz Learning (www.maritzlearning.com),
a leading provider of custom training, e-learning and performance
management and improvement solutions, today announced that Maritz
Inc. has promoted Donald Fogarty to the position of Division Vice
President and Maritz Learning's Director of Product Development. Maritz
Learning is a business unit of Maritz Inc., the world's largest provider
of integrated performance improvement, travel and research services.
Fogarty, the chief architect of the LIBRIX Performance Management
System that Maritz acquired as part of the recent acquisition
of Librix Learning LLC, will manage the team of developers that customizes
the company's software platform to the needs of individual customers.
Fogarty indicated that his first goal is to further integrate the
Maritz Learning technology with the services that Maritz Inc. provides
to its customers.
"I plan to take this existing, multi-use platform that I helped
develop at Librix and blend it into the overall offerings of Maritz,"
Fogarty said. "We'll tie it into the rewards and recognition
programs that Maritz has in its arsenal to provide an integrated solution
that can be easily customized for any company's business challenges."
Fogarty emphasized that Maritz Learning's primary goals have always
been to help its customers improve their organizational performance
and, therefore, the bottom line. "Ultimately it's not about technology
-- we're trying to solve business problems," he added. "Our
multi-use platform provides an infrastructure from which to manage
a range of strategic solutions that improve individual and organizational
performance. It's open, flexible, customizable, and adaptable to any
business need."
A recent study conducted by brandon-hall.com rated the Maritz Learning
technology as a top system for competency management and a leading
learning management system. The platform also enables companies to
conduct gap analyses, manage tests and surveys, deliver training,
handle registration management, tie into third party products, and
deliver an integrated solution with existing applications.
"We're delighted to have someone with Don Fogarty's experience
and expertise as part of our management team," said Maritz Learning
President Brian Carlin. "Maritz Learning is committed to continuous
product development as well as improving its existing technology.
Don Fogarty's considerable skills will enable us to continue along
this path."
Fogarty has been a Director/Product Manager in the e-learning space
for the past four years, with a total of 12 years IT experience, and
brings extensive expertise in IT and product development to Maritz
Learning. He played a key role at Librix where he built and managed
the product development organization and oversaw the creation of the
company's software products.
